About ZimanGo

Keeping Kurdish alive — and joyful to learn.

ZimanGo is a Kurdish language-learning app built by people who grew up loving this language, and who believe it deserves the same modern, joyful tools as any major language in the world.

Our mission

A modern home for the Kurdish language.

Kurdish is spoken by tens of millions of people across several dialects — yet for years it had almost none of the friendly, well-made learning tools that other languages take for granted.

We started ZimanGo to change that: to make learning Kurmancî and Soranî feel as natural, fun and rewarding as any top language app — and to help carry smaller dialects like Zazakî, Hewramî and Behdînî forward to the next generation.

  • Joyful by design — short lessons, a friendly lion, and a sense of progress that keeps you coming back.
  • Dialect-first — built from the ground up for the Kurdish language family, not bolted on as an afterthought.
  • For everyone — free to start, in nine interface languages, on the phone you already carry.

How we teach

Learning that respects how languages really work.

ZimanGo blends bite-size practice with the four skills that actually build fluency — listening, speaking, reading and writing.

You speak from day one

Most apps keep you tapping buttons. ZimanGo asks you to say words out loud and gives feedback on how you did.

Little and often

Lessons are short on purpose. Five focused minutes a day beats an hour you'll never find — and the streak keeps you honest.

Real Kurdish, real culture

You learn the phrases people actually use, plus the proverbs, idioms and warmth that make Kurdish, Kurdish.

The Kurdish language family

The dialects we teach — and the ones we're building.
